The Maharashtra public-trust compliance landscape

Most public temples in Maharashtra are registered as public trusts under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950 and are supervised by the office of the Charity Commissioner. Registered trusts are expected to keep proper books of account, file change reports when trustees or trust details change, and submit annual accounts and budget statements in the formats prescribed under the Act (commonly referred to by their Schedule and Budget formats, such as Schedule IX-C). These accounts are typically audited before filing, and generic spreadsheets often struggle to produce the prescribed layouts cleanly.

3ioSetu's temple management software keeps every donation, seva and expense as a structured digital record from day one, so your trust can prepare audit-ready accounts and the statements your auditor files with the Charity Commissioner with far less manual reconciliation. It also issues 80G/10BD/10BE-ready donation receipts. 3ioSetu supports your compliance workflow; it does not replace your auditor or the trust's own legal responsibilities, and final filings remain the trustees' and auditor's responsibility.

Designed for the way Maharashtra temples actually operate

  • Marathi-first UI — staff dashboard, kiosk touchscreens, receipts and the devotee app run in Marathi by default, with English and Hindi fallbacks.
  • Charity Commissioner-ready accounting — books are maintained so audit statements and budget formats prescribed under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act can be prepared in a few clicks instead of multi-week reconciliation.
  • Festival-scale donation handling — surges during Ganeshotsav, Gudi Padwa, Navratri and palkhi / wari processions are handled by the integrated temple payment gateway.
  • Self-service donation kiosks — a temple POS / kiosk at the entrance clears hundi and queue pressure during peak darshan days.
  • Multi-trust / multi-shrine support — consolidated reporting for trusts that manage more than one mandir or sansthan under a single registration.

Donation management and 80G compliance

Every donation — counter cash, UPI, card, online or kiosk — is captured as a digital record with the donor's PAN where required. For trusts holding valid 80G registration, 3ioSetu issues PAN-validated 80G receipts at the moment of donation, aggregates the data for Form 10BD, and auto-issues Form 10BE certificates to donors. The platform helps you meet your obligations but does not itself grant 80G status — that remains between your trust and the Income Tax Department.

Seva, darshan and hall booking for Maharashtra mandirs

Devotees can book abhishek, archana, mahapooja, satyanarayan pooja and annadan online or at the kiosk, with sankalp details captured against each booking. Temple-attached halls and sabhagruhas used for weddings, mundan and community functions are managed through an integrated hall and room booking module, so booking calendars, advances and receipts all flow into the same audited accounts.

Accounting, audit and the annual filing cycle

Because income and expenditure are recorded as they happen, year-end is no longer a scramble. Trustees and auditors get a clean ledger that maps to the budget and Schedule formats expected under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, with drill-down from any summary figure to the underlying donation or voucher. Data is hosted on India-edge infrastructure with daily encrypted backups, so your records stay available and auditable.

Frequently asked questions

Does 3ioSetu support Maharashtra temple compliance reporting?

Yes. 3ioSetu keeps digital donation and accounting records that help public trusts prepare the statements they file with the Charity Commissioner under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950, including audit-ready accounts in Schedule IX-C / Budget formats. Your auditor and trustees retain final responsibility for the filing.

Is a Marathi-language interface available?

Yes. The staff dashboard, devotee receipts, kiosk touchscreens and the devotee mobile app can run in Marathi, with English and Hindi fallbacks, so local trustees, sevekaris and volunteers can work in the language they are comfortable with.

Can 3ioSetu issue 80G donation receipts and help with 10BD / 10BE?

Yes. For trusts holding valid 80G registration, 3ioSetu issues PAN-validated 80G receipts at the moment of donation and aggregates the data needed for Form 10BD, then auto-issues Form 10BE certificates to donors. The platform does not grant 80G status itself.

Which Maharashtra cities and regions does 3ioSetu serve?

Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Kolhapur, Solapur and surrounding districts. Cloud onboarding is location-independent; on-site kiosk installation is available across the state.
